Professional Experience:
Over the past eight years, I have worked across various levels of the public health sector, from Primary Health Centres to the district and at the state level and in private tertiary healthcare setup. In my current role as a Senior Project Officer at UNDP, I have demonstrated my commitment to public health through various strategic and operational initiatives. Notably, I led and managed complex health projects such as eVIN, CO-WIN, and outbreak mitigation during the COVID-19 pandemic. My work involved collaborating with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and senior state officials to make evidence-based decisions with first-hand experience in state outbreak control efforts, expand project reach, and build strong teams. One of my key achievements at UNDP was establishing a comprehensive human resources network, connecting state offices to all districts in Punjab. I have a proven track record of efficient financial management, including handling budgets exceeding three hundred twelve thousand dollars, and have successfully sustained project funding.

In my role as a Consultant and Rapid Response Team Member at WHO, I further honed my skills in programmatic approaches and surveillance. I provided technical support and leveraged surveillance data to refine strategies for controlling and eliminating vaccine preventable diseases. Additionally, I facilitated data-driven decisions for introducing new vaccines and ensured the quality assurance of laboratory diagnostics.

As a Medical Officer In Charge at AIIMS, I oversaw the implementation of National Health Programs, including capacity building, quality assurance, and community health initiatives. My leadership led to the certification of the PHC in National Quality Assurance Standards and Kayakalp Initiative, reflecting my commitment to global best practices and infection control.

Technical knowledge and understanding of the Indian health system, excellent communication skills and proficiency in program management, partnerships and stakeholder engagement, along with financial management, align with my strengths and experiences. Self-motivation and a solution-oriented approach have been key drivers in my professional journey.
