Natasha currently serves as the foundation’s Regional Representative to for West and Central Africa. Formerly based in Abuja, Nigeria, she is now located in the foundation’s South Africa Headquarters. In her role Natasha leads the foundation’s relationships with the governments of the region and supports the thematic divisions’ investments in the region (i.e. Health, Nutrition, Water and Sanitation, Financial services and Agriculture). Natasha’s professional experience encompasses diverse sectors including Investment banking, consumer products, sport and entertainment as well as development. she has occupied senior roles across the public, private and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Natasha served as Regional Director for West and Central Africa for 3 of the largest international NGOs – Save the Children, Oxfam GB and World Wide Fund for Nature. She Was Based in West Africa for more than 15 years covering: Burkina Faso, CAR, Chad, DRC, Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Niger, Mali, Senegal and Sierra Leone. Natasha started her career in the private sector. She was the Director of Strategic Planning for Nike Inc. Europe, Middle East and Africa based in Amsterdam and was a proud member of the Euro Disney Launch crew of 1992 before joining The Walt Disney Company Consumer products division in Paris. Prior to business school she was an analyst working for Wall Street firms such as Salomon Brothers, Chase Manhattan Bank and Dean Witter, Reynolds in the go-go 1980s! Natasha received her MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She has a BSc in Chemical Sciences from Leeds University England. She has also studied at IMD Switzerland, HEC France and Institut D’Etudes Politiques Paris. Natasha started her PhD in international relations at the American School of Paris but has still to finish, equally she started her Masters in Coaching at the University of Sheffield but is still working to complete the requirements. Natasha has a 13-year-old son Kyle Nikolai Quist who wants to go to MIT or CalTech like Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. Natasha is an avid tennis player and Serena William’s biggest fan.
