Professional Experience:
I have worked in the private sector in both multinational and local companies in the Cameroon, my home country, at the World Bank Group (World Bank proper and the International Finance Company, IFC, in Washington D.C and in the field)., in various capacities including management. I also started and ran a consulting firm for about eleven years and a fertilizer company after voluntarily leaving the World Bank in late 1988. Major assignments were undertaken for the World Bank, the African Development Bank, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), an affiliate of the World Bank, the African Project Development Facility (APDF) and the African Management Services Company (AMSCO), two offshoots of the IFC, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the private sector. Key areas covered included project/investment preparation, implementation supervision and ex-post evaluation in most sectors, public budget and financial management, strategic planning and restructuring, private sector development, poverty reduction and governance in the areas of fight against corruption, legal and judicial reform and land management
