March 2009 - present Secretary General (2009-2015 Director of Policy and Strategy) – ENSP Brussels, The European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention ( http://ensp.org ) is an international
non-profit making organization, created in 1997 under Belgium law (identification number 16377/97). ENSP’s mission is to develop a strategy for coordinated action among organizations active in tobacco control in Europe by sharing information and experience and through coordinated activities and joint projects.
During the last 14 years I applied my technical and policy knowledge working in Brussels initially as Director of Policy and Strategy and later on as Secretary General of the European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention (ENSP). In this capacity I managed on a daily basis the
interaction and relationship with the ENSP’s National Associations ensuring a coordinated approach between countries’ activities and Brussels advocacy in light of the tobacco control legislation at national and European level. Under my leadership, ENSP has grown to more than
80 members (including national coalitions) in 38 countries across Europe.
