In charge of three programs that cover Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt and Syria. Programs intend to support the emergence of new generation of democracy and human rights activists. Regional program Director provides strategic guidance to the overall regional program, design program, set work plans, manage funding and small grants and develop fundraising strategies. The Regional Program Director supervises a staff of eight persons including 3 program Officers and a Senior Program Officer.

The main task was to develop a strategy for Women Rights associations in order to address efficiently their capacity building needs. ILO’s Regional Coordinator was based in the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research ( CAWTAR).
