Professional Experience: |
I built my career at the intersection of international development and public finance. For 15+ years, I’ve been creating, directing, and enhancing programs with a single goal in mind: to promote open, accountable governance and decrease poverty and inequality around the world.
I’ve worked extensively with colleagues, partners, and civil society organizations (CSOs) in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to ensure public funds are allocated and used—accountably, transparently, purposefully—to reduce poverty and inequality in diverse regions around the world. These efforts have improved the capacity and resilience of CSOs, influencing policy, improving advocacy, and in some cases, driving measurable change.
HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
- Proven success designing and leading a wide range of programs focused on increasing budget transparency, accountability, and advocacy efforts in Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
- Firsthand experience advancing the mission and objectives of nongovernmental organizations such as Population Action International (PAI) and International Budget Partnership (IBP), as well as large nonprofits including the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation and Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
- Real-world understanding of the impact of government accountability initiatives on policymaking and budget management, with demonstrated achievements in shaping strategy and facilitating international training programs, workshops, high-profile meetings, peer-to-peer learnings, online resources, coaching and networking sessions, and technical assistance opportunities.
