Professional Experience:
I am a senior data and analytics and strategic communications consultant, with a specific interest in data analysis for communications, text mining, and social network analysis. I also have extensive experience as a writer, editor, and strategic planner for PR and digital campaigns; and offer a rare mix of data analysis skills, network analysis proficiency, and high-levelcommunications experience.
Most recently, I headed the data and analytics team at M2.0, who provided all data, analytics, and research requirements of the agency, and played a lead role in the research and development of new data-related products and services.
I am also currently leading a statistical study in support of policy for protecting the creative industries in the Philippines as a consultant with the Department of Trade and Industry.
At M2.0, I led the development of an integrated methodology called narrative mining that brings together social network analysis, natural language processing, and other statistical techniques in order to better understand the narratives shared by communities on specific pressing topics. Through this technique, we are able to analyze not just the content of these stories, but also the specific groups of persons and organizations sharing these narratives and the manner
by which these are spreading through social networks.
I also acted as the agency's main evangelist for data-driven communications and advocate for the adoption of tools and techniques that bring a higher level of granularity, objectivity, and incisiveness to communications planning.
Finally, I served as a consultant for strategic comms planning for marquee clients across a variety of industries, including accounts in finance, healthcare, technology, and public affairs.
