Professional Experience:
I am a qualified Monitoring and Evaluation expert with more than 19 years of experiences in leading and managing monitoring and evaluation tasks - leading, supervising, and managing research and evaluations, data management and analysis, and generating evidence for decision making - in diversified program contexts with multiple development organizations. She has plenty of experience in designing and conducting performance monitoring, research and evaluations, developing performance monitoring and evaluation plan, designing routine monitoring and reporting tools, designing automated database system, designing and implementing performance and quality monitoring mechanisms, ensuring proper documentation of achievements, and providing trainings and technical support to improve M&E capacity.

I am very much experienced in using different application software and statistical packages mainly SPSS, DHIS 2, Spreadsheet (MS Excel), MS Word, Power Point, ArcGIS and others open-source data collection and analysis tools like EpiData and KoBo Toolbox.
Currently I am working as Program Policy Officer/ M&E officer for World Food Program (WFP). Before joining WFP, I worked as Supervisory Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist for USAID Transform: MELA Activity with The Mitchel Group. I also worked as MEAL Specialist for USAID/Feed the Future Ethiopia funded Nutrition program at Save the Children International; as MER Advisor for Strengthening Ethiopia’s Urban Health Program at JSI; as M&E Officer for USAID Strengthening Human Resource for Health (HRH) project at Jhpiego; and at various positions for other organizations. For all organizations I worked for, I achieved great results by establishing a robust Monitoring and Evaluation system that ensured generation of quality and timely evidence to support decision making at different levels.

I do have a good skill to undertake different tasks at once and is a very good team player with excellent capacity to work independently. I am flexible enough and have continuous readiness to accept new ideas that can bring positive results. I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Monitoring and Evaluation from Mekelle University and BSc. in Statistics from Addis Ababa University. Currently I am pursuing my second Masters degree in Human Nutrition at Jimma University
