Professional Experience:
A large part of my 17 years of professional experience in diplomacy and international organizations has been dedicated to Mexico and Latin America, with a particular focus on Central America.
During my work at the Embassy of Mexico in Washington, D.C., and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), I led and implemented projects in the areas of political cooperation, education, human rights, and communications. From the Embassy I was able to advance collaboration through mechanisms of political cooperation and human rights, expand networks and improve dialogue among key stakeholders in the US-Mexico relations. And from the management of the Social Sector of the IDB, I led knowledge and communication campaigns, coordinating a diverse and interdisciplinary team of external consultants and senior specialists distributed between the HQ and 22 regional offices.
Prior to my work in Washington, D.C., I spent three years at the Embassy of Mexico in El Salvador, where I led the implementation of the Bilateral Program of Technical, Scientific, Education and Cultural Cooperation, the implementation of the Mesoamerica Project, and where I served as a non-regional observer of the security bureau of the Central American Integration System (SICA).
Currently I continue working in development cooperation, now from the Embassy of Mexico in Kenya. However, I wish to be able to continue doing so from a diverse non-political and multinational team, with a corporate vision towards development.
