Professional Experience:
I have over fifteen years of experience internationally in senior management, project management, strategic planning and grants coordination. I have a large network and experience in a number of sectors including food security, rural development, climate resilience, education, mental health, shelter (in camp settings) and WASH, all in emergency contexts.
I have a well-established background working with international NGOs, in particular with the Norwegian Refugee Council.
I have assisted in the capacity building of national staff and national NGOs in different locations and have helped build fundraising strategies. I work closely with civil society in my capacity as country director for People in Need, based in Georgia. I have started an innovative food waste project here having successfully won EU funding.
I am highly experienced in working in difficult conditions according to strict timelines and have extensive experience managing multiple projects, stakeholders and staff.
Over the years, I have built strong working relationships with other NGOs and donors such as ECHO, UNOCHA, SIDA, NMFA, WFP, UNHCR and UNICEF.
I have represented my organisations in consortia and used my position to advocate with key stakeholders such as governments and donors for assistance for the most vulnerable people in crisis situations, as well as for funding in places where there are underfunded or forgotten caseloads.
I am a compassionate, innovative, and highly organised leader with strong interpersonal skills, and proven experience effectively managing and supervising people, creating networks and mobilising resources. I combine a confident, empathetic management style to motivate teams and deliver impact in collaboration with colleagues.
I enjoy working in multicultural environments and am currently developing my skills in new areas such as the circular economy.
