Professional Experience:
I am an international education adviser with 20 years’ experience supporting strategic education programme development in low- and middle-income countries across Africa and Asia. I am highly skilled in facilitating participatory design and learning processes, developing programme strategy at global and local levels, both remotely and face to face. I have led evaluations, researched and written multi-country learning papers, led theory of change design processes, and successfully secured funding for inclusive and girls’ education programmes from a range of donors. I have excellent people skills with an open, committed and participatory approach and particular expertise in inclusive education, gender and teacher professional development. My work in inclusion and girls’ education has seen me co-develop teacher professional development packages in inclusive and gender-responsive pedagogy, conduct high-level gender and social inclusion analyses and strengthen the capacity of Organisations of People with Disabilities to advocate for inclusive education within their communities. I have worked for a range of INGOs, governments and agencies and recent clients have included British Council, UNESCO, Save the Children, Relief International, Plan International, ActionAID, Humanity and Inclusion, VSO, NUDIPU and the Enabling Education Network (EENET).
