Professional Experience:
I am a professional with more than twelve years of work experience with government, semi-government, non-government and international organizations.
I would like to bring into kind attention that I have got hands-on experiences and knowledge with the technical capacity to develop global strategy and planning, supervising operational management, ensuring quality and integrity to support Food Security and Livelihood, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) projects and programs. Additionally, I have gained high professional experience in the field of Environmental Monitoring Data Science Program, Disaster Risk Management, Climate Change, Climate Change and risk assessment, Disaster Risk Management, Natural Resource Management, Women and Youth Empowerment, Community Development and needs assessment.
Currently, I am associated with the National Trust for Nature Conservation (NTNC), largest semi-government organization under Ministry of Forest and Environment, Government of Nepal as a Governing Board of Trustees (Nominated by Hon. Minister of Forest and Environment from 2018-2022). As one of the key actors in the development of community –based conservation in Nepal, I have worked together with many donor agencies in developing strategies, plans and policies in conservation and development for more than a decade now. At present, I am also the Executive Director and Governing Board Member of Pratiman-Neema Memorial Foundation, one of the leading not for profit organization in academics, research and community engagements projects and programs in Province 5 of Nepal. One of the key contributions of the project was the establishment of Rohini Urban Forests and Wildlife Habitat (RUFWH) Conservation Partnership project and Danda Ecological Monitoring Program in collaboration with the University of New Mexico, Nepal Study Centre and the Government of Nepal.
Furthermore, I am highly committed to conserve biodiversity, protect environment, and address the climate change issues and support people and affected communities immediately after a disaster through rehabilitation, reconstruction and sustainable recovery programs.
Besides, it is my great pleasure to share that I was recently awarded with “Public Hero Award” in 2019 for the contribution made for Environmental issues and River Conservation in Province 5 of Nepal. I have also contributed in various national and international books/journals as an editor and co-author “Conservation Pugmarks”, “A Light in the Dark of Nepalese Teens”: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene research with focus in Menstrual Hygiene.
Lastly, it is important to highlight that through my diverse experiences in a leadership and decision making position with government, semi-government and international organizations; I have been working as a competent individual in policy making, implementation and innovation.
