Professional Experience:

15 years’ working in child and youth community development, in 15 different country contexts, in Country Office and Regional Office, as program manager, regional technical specialist and regional communications specialist.

My focus has been children’s and youth participation in development decision-making, and promotion of their voices in public agenda setting. But I have also worked on youth specific themes like adolescent sexual and reproductive health and preparation for employment. I can manage Participatory Rural Appraisal methodologies. I have also promoted field investigations (Municipal Youth Councils, youth labour market conditions, teenage sexual relationships).

I have experience in emergency and reconstruction work and settings – Hurricanes Mitch and Georges in 1998, earthquakes in El Salvador in 2001 and hurricane Stan in 2005 (all Central America, Caribbean)

I have experience as a communicator and advocate in a small global team working for 2 years towards the UN Special Session on Children in 2002, tasked to bring an authentic voice of children from more than 30 countries to their Missions in New York through websites, web and video-chats, posters and brochures.
