Professional Experience:
I am a driven, agile and goal-oriented Finance Expert with a passion for developing and executing financial strategies in support of development programs and business projects. I am looking for a responsible and exciting career opportunity where I can develop and implement robust financial strategies for greater impact.
With over 12 years of progressive experience across dynamic, multi-cultural environments, I have become more focused under pressure, learnt to organize work and sharpened my ability to work effectively with others. I have developed invaluable expertise across finance management, auditing and financial reporting, financial systems development, training and capacity strengthening, payroll management and budget administration, cross-functional collaboration and relations management. I have also grown as a team leader – channelling my accountability, emotional awareness and teamwork to meaningfully engage with different players and foster a conducive working environment.
Through finance acumens, strategic planning and collaboration, I have led finance teams, implemented thorough financial controls and ensured projects and their related intervention finances are executed within proper company financial systems, budgets and policies. As the Projects Accountant at Cardno Emerging Markets (East Africa) Ltd, I developed and implemented finance systems and procedures for the newly formed Cardno Rwanda, hence the successful implementation of the SDMR and subsequent projects. I also generated 100% effective and efficient donor reports for DfID (now FCDO) and other donors, leading to healthy donor relationships. Accordingly, I received a written commendation from DfID on closure of the SDMR project.
