Professional Experience:
Currently, I am the Head of Digital Transformation: Data Analytics and Innovation at Naivas Retail Kenya, where I am leading the development and management of customer insights, vendor data, and performance analytics across the business. My role supports the innovation agenda and molds the retail giant into a dynamic data driven enterprise. I also leverage analytics or process improvement methodologies to support key projects each year, such as Six Sigma or Lean, and provide guidance to ensure departments have proper access and training to the appropriate databases and reporting tools to complete department-level analyses
Previously I was the Head of IT Operations Naivas Kenya. I am extremely passionate about information technology, and data and how both can be leveraged to enhance business processes, develop a data-centric corporate culture, enhance productivity and process ownership and lower overall operating costs.
In my 16+ years of experience in the field of technology, I have taken part in the implementation of ground-breaking and profoundly impactful systems and solutions across a network of diverse businesses in multiple African counties and a variety of sectors, including banking, logistics and supply chain, retail, and non-governmental organizations.
Additionally, I am passionate about developing and executing strategies that drive organizational change and innovation. Whether it's implementing new technologies, creating agile processes, or fostering a culture of continuous learning, I am committed to helping organizations stay ahead of the curve and drive value for their stakeholders. I was a finalist for the 2022 Dx100 CIO of the year Africa award, and graced the cover of their magazine in April, which is a testament to our unwavering hard work and dedication to driving innovation and efficiency in the industry
The implementation of ERP encompassing all business operations so that all business transactions are now linked to the financial ledgers and accounted for in real-time are just a few of the projects that I most recently championed at Naivas. By integrating handheld devices where there was previously paper documentation and a Paperless Business Portal for all paper-based business processes that represented signature-based paper workflows, the inventory supply chain process is being digitally transformed.
I graduated from the University of Nairobi with a degree in computing and informatics. I also hold certifications in Microsoft Enterprise Implementations, Professional Project Management, Data Management, and Information Systems Audit.
