Professional Experience:

A highly experienced leader who has demonstrated the ability to lead diverse teams of professionals to new levels of success in diverse professional areas, I combine an experience as researcher and development practitioner. I contributed to many publications focusing on public policies, governance, decentralization, and local development. From 1995 to 2002, I was respectively part of the team which set up the legal and institutional framework of decentralization in Mali, steered the process of its implementation throughout the country but also worked in the cabinet of the Minister in charge of Local governments and territorial administration as a technical adviser focusing on the implementation of decentralization policy. It’s with this solid experience gained over 20 years of work that I joined the management team of SNV in different capacities: Deputy Country Director in Mali and then Country Director in Benin and Ghana. In addition to country team management, this has given me the opportunity to coordinate a number of regional knowledge management networks on behalf of SNV-West Africa such as WASH network (2005-2008) for 4 countries and health network for 5 countries (2009-2011).
