Professional Experience:
Economist and International Trade professional with over eight years of progressively responsible experience supporting trade facilitation, regional integration, infrastructure policy, and governance reform across multilateral, regional, and international development institutions. I have worked with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the African Union Commission, and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa, contributing to the design and implementation of donor-funded trade and economic development programmes.
My expertise includes trade policy analysis, feasibility studies, programme and project management, infrastructure and trade corridor policy planning, and institutional capacity development. I have supported governments and regional institutions in developing evidence-based policy frameworks, strengthening trade facilitation systems, and improving cross-border trade efficiency. I am experienced in facilitating multi-stakeholder consultations involving government agencies, development partners, private sector actors, and regional organizations, and in translating complex economic analysis into practical policy and programme interventions.
I bring strong competencies in research and policy analysis, strategic planning, governance advisory, monitoring and reporting, and partnership coordination, with demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality analytical outputs and programme results in multicultural and politically complex environments. My work has contributed to advancing regional economic integration, strengthening trade governance, and supporting sustainable economic development in Africa and the Pacific regions, aligned with international standards and the Sustainable Development Goals.
