Professional Experience:
A senior international humanitarian and development professional with over 25 years of experience managing complex humanitarian operations across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Successfully led crisis preparedness, emergency response, recovery, and resilience programmes in some of the world’s most challenging, complex, volatile, unpredictable and ambiguous contexts, including Myanmar, Yemen, and Ethiopia. With over 17 years in senior leadership roles, supervised multi-disciplinary teams and managed large-scale portfolios, with direct responsibility for budgets up to $1 billion. A skilled diplomat and advocate led high-level negotiations with governments, de facto authorities, military regimes, and non-state armed groups in complex humanitarian and security contexts. An expert inter-agency coordinator worked with the national and sub-national level IASC coordination structure and adapted as per the situation on the ground.
