Professional Experience:
I began my professional career as a translator in 2006, in one of the UNDP’s projects, European Union Border Assistance Mission to Ukraine and Moldova (EUBAM). After three months of work I was appointed as the HR Assistant. I managed over 100 national and international employees’ documents, salaries, annual and sick leaves, and government contracts.
In 2008, I was hired as General Director for the municipal newspaper Capitala with the mission of rehabilitating the failing newspaper. I succeeded in transforming Capitala into one of the leading newspapers in Chisinau, while introducing efficiencies that cut the costs by 25%. In 2009, the newspaper was awarded The Star for Leadership in Quality for best results and courage by the Business Initiative Direction and Total Quality Management (QC100 TQM) in Paris.
Working for BNG Communication PR, as Managing Director (Swedish company), I advised, among others, the Swedish Armed Forces, Borlange Energi (Sweden), National Employment Service of Moldova, Water and Sewage Company of Moldova, Chisinau Municipality, Liberal Party (Youth Wing and Women’s Organization). Having an office in Chisinau, I was responsible for the company’s budget and supervise its administration for the above projects, holding trainings on: PR/media communication, social campaign messages, political program visualization and internal communication.
In 2012, I accepted to work for the project “Transitional Capacity Support for the Public Administration of Moldova”, which was designed upon the request of the Government of Moldova to enhance capacities of the Moldovan Central Public Administration in order to accelerate the reform process and achieve Moldova’s short- and medium term development goals.. My mission, as a National Consultant/Communication Expert, was providing technical assistance, guidance and day-to-day transfer of knowledge to the MoE staff, in order to strengthen its communication skills, tools and systems to better reflect the structural reform changes initiated by the Ministry. In less than one year, the Ministry of Education was number one minister on informational transparency (online; offline: TV, Radio, meetings, trainings, billboards, etc). We had over 15k subscribers on the official Facebook page. In 2013, the Moldovan Minister of Education Maia Sandu was the winner of the Leadership Award for social responsibility for Europe and Central Asia, granted by the Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA), an initiative of the World Bank. Back, in Moldova, the Minister became a national hero for her anti-copying campaign.
My recent experiences in communication were at OSCE/ODIHR, as Senior Media Analyst. I was working monitoring the Moldovan mass media in two election campaigns: Parliamentary and Local General Elections. I accepted this challenge to get closer to the local media and to discuss with them the most problematic issues that arise during campaigns: corruption, bribing, hiding the social-e
