Professional Experience:
I am development practitioner with more than eight and half years of experience in the nonprofit sector with various leading international non-governmental organizations such as Oxfam and currently with CARE USA based in Washington DC. Throughout my career, I gained strong experience by working in remote areas in different thematic areas. I have expertise in all those skills which are essentials to manage projects and programmes. I have sound experience in program management (expertise in monitoring and evaluation) and financial management. I have managed projects more than 9 million GBB budgets and facilitated many audits. I have experience to liaison with local national partner organizations, Government officials and key policy influential, donors and head office as well. During my work experience I have been developing different proposals and raise more than 4 million USD funding. I was also coordinating with different other like minded organizations and coalitions to build further strategic partnership. I worked in all provinces of Pakistan and coordinated with more than 150 local organizations to maximize the outreach at most deprived areas and villages and hard to reach clusters. I also coordinated with district education line management authorities to work on effective and rational budget planning. At operational level, I was coordinating with HR, Admin and Finance departments for relative activities such as Audits, logistical arrangements for large events and international conference and releasing tranches to partners etc. Currently with CARE, I am responsible to liaison with 9 country offices who are engaged in Women and Girls Lead Global Campaign including coordination with donor.
I have good working experience in progress review and monitoring and evaluation and experience to host and conducted progress review meetings with partners and further planning. I have extensive work experience work experience to work at policy level. To promote good governance, we build the capacity of government officials on “Effective & Need base Budget Planning” and trained school councils and coalitions and civil society on “Budget Tracking” and social accountability tool “Public Expenditure Tracking Survey”. In a team we also work to develop a research study on “Aid Effectiveness in Education – A case of Pakistan” and Health policy analysis for pygmies communities in Rwanda. All this work was based on Evidence based advocacy. I have experienced to work with various vulnerable groups and marginalized communities in different regions e.g. schedule cast communities in India, indigenous communities in Peru, Batwa community of Rwanda, women of Kibera slums (largest informal slums in Africa) and riverside communities and Hindu (minorities) in South Punjab Pakistan. Apart from programmatic skills, I am fluent in Internet, MS Office, Share Point, SPSS and EPI INFO. I can speak Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Hindco, Pashto and English. I am also learning Spanish and A
