A former Captain from the Indian Army, I have over twenty-four years of experience, with proven expertise in the areas of General Management & Administration, Security & Risk, Operations Management, Emergency Response, Crisis Management, Investigations & Intelligence, Anti-counterfeiting, Brand Protection, Employee Health & Safety, Public Policy, Capacity Building and Business Continuity Management spanning Banking, Power Projects, ITeS, Pharmaceutical, FMCG, E-commerce & Hospitality sectors in the corporate world.
Designing, embedding and maintenance of Workplace Security & Risk Management Programs, Standards, Policies & SOPs are my forte. The last eleven years have been leadership responsibilities driving Security & Risk, Crisis Management, Business Continuity & Asset Protection programs across India & South Asia region. I have since implemented and embedded Workplace Security & Brand Resilience Programs across four large MNCs.
Currently, I lead Security & Risk, strategising and implementing Workplace & Business Asset Security & Risk frameworks, Physical Security & Safety, ERM, CM & BCMS, Brand Assurance, Law Enforcement Outreach Program, Travel & Event Security, Intelligence & Investigations and InfoSec. The mandate is to set-up a Global COE to secure infrastructure, guests & employees in 43000+ hotels across the globe. I am also and am setting up the G-SOC.
Before OYO, I led the Supply Chain Security Program (MM) for Amazon India. The program covered strategy, design and rollout of all security automation as well as process & audit programs covering over 20k colleagues across 03 million cu. feet of space. Previously, as Head of Brand Protection for Diageo, I ran the Intelligence and Investigations, Anti-counterfeiting programs & Public Policy initiatives protecting brand equity, supply chain security, revenue and reputation. I established the Corporate Security program, hired and mentored the incumbent. Earlier, I led Pfizer South Asia risk management program as Global Security Director. In preceding roles, I have worked with the Reserve Bank of India, Vedanta Plc & Tata Consultancy Services after my stint in the Army Air Defence. In the Reserve Bank of India as a Security Manager for five years where I worked closely with the Police, Central Bureau of Investigations and Special Intelligence Wing to provide security cover to large scale cash in transit, property and people. I was a member of the State Level Security Committee, Odisha. In my stint with Vedanta Resources as Head- Administration & Facilities (Power Projects & Railway Projects), I ensured administration, safety, security, facilities management for the greenfield project for more than 25000 people on-site.
Before joining Pfizer in Dec 2010, I was Senior Manager (Administration) & National Head of Corporate Safety and Security with Tata Consultancy Services BFSI BPO for two years taking care of more than twenty thousand employees across twenty-five sites in India and abroad.
In the seven years in Indian Army, I implemented stringent security systems to establish & maintain high security standards & protect high-value assets of the nation, liaising with various government officials and agencies, thereby ensuring smooth operations. I assisted with implementation of HR Policies & strategies with key focus on aligning HR, overseeing manpower planning, recruitment, selection, induction, orientation, payroll management & development of more than 300 personnel in the organisation. Planning & monitoring security arrangements involving devising security plans & deployment of security personnel, identifying vulnerabilities/ exposures & risks, conceptualising & implementing security plans & procedures for day-to-day operations as well as contingencies was my day-today role.
