Thendo Ratshitanga is an experienced and results-driven professional with a combination of skills, qualifications and experiences spanning over 28 years in leadership positions in the fields of public policy development, agriculture, marketing communications, and project management. He is the Head of Agriculture at Salungano Group (a listed company on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange) and holds Non-Executive Directorship roles in the following organizations: Director of Kazi Farm and Simeka Harvest, Wa Gono Investments, Chairperson of the Transport Authority of Gauteng, and Deputy Chairperson of the Gauteng Tourism Authority.
His past roles include being Deputy Chairperson of Tshwane University of Technology Enterprise Holdings, Member of the Council of the Tshwane University of Technology, Board member and Chairperson of the Credit Committee of the Gauteng Enterprise Propeller, Chairman and CEO of Tshirundu Communications, Executive Director of Adcorp Holdings, and various positions in the legislature and provincial government of Gauteng, South Africa.

Thendo holds a Masters Degree in Public Policy and Development Management and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Public Policy and Development Management from the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits). He also holds a Certificate in Programme Management Development and a Certificate in Social Entrepreneurship from the University of Pretoria’s Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS). In 2020 he completed a course in Aquaponics Design from the Australian based Aquaponics Institute.
