Senior lawyer currently responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of all security and justice programming worldwide at a global not-for-profit / government agency. This includes programmes on civil, criminal and commercial justice; legal aid and access to basic legal services; justice sector reform / capacity building; justice sector coordination; policing; civil society strengthening and engagement; community engagement. Countries of focus span Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East & North Africa, South Asia and East Asia.
Experienced in designing and delivering programmes in a wide range of environments including very fragile and politically sensitive contexts including South Sudan, Pakistan and China. Able to draw on own experience as a justice sector practitioner to engage justice practitioners (including judges, lawyers and advocacy organisations) on a peer to peer basis. Also able to draw on strong ties and engagement with the UK justice sector and experience of designing and developing joint programmes with them.
