Professional Experience: |
I have a strong experience in working at the intersection of humanitarian response, peace and security, and IHL/Human Rights in acute and protracted crises, where I designed, managed, or backstopped programs at leadership positions with several UN and INGO agencies in East / West Africa, South-East Asia, the Middle East, the Caribbean and Central America.
As a Peacebuilder and Regional Director with Search for Common Ground for West Africa and more recently for the Middle East and North Africa, I was able to act on the root causes of conflicts, building trust and incentivising collaboration across dividing lines to manage conflicts through transformative and self-perpetuating processes between communities, non-state, state and civil society actors. I led the design of programs strengthening social and economic interdependence across political and ethnic lines, transforming violent extremism, enabling youth to independently develop multi-dimensional identities to become the leaders of tomorrow, and increased the participation of women in public life.
At upstream level, I have worked for more than five years with senior UN officials and high-level officials. I supported the coordination of the integrated support provided by the UN operational agencies and departments within the UN Secretariat to complex emergencies (Sahel food crisis, the politico military situation in Mali, Ebola and Boko Haram / Nigeria). This experience implied almost daily interactions with IASC Directors, Director level individuals within the UN Secretariat, Member State high officials, Under-Secretary Generals / Secretary General' front offices, and Resident Coordinators and Humanitarians Coordinators. Throughout my career, I engaged and led several important advocacy initiatives towards Member States (including the Security Council when trying to influence the content of newly developed UN Security Council resolutions), as well as other donors, in support to my programmes in Sri Lanka, Haiti, the Sahel and Yemen (among others).
On the managerial front, I have led large offices and teams. I am passionate about building strong and committed teams and creating buy-in internally and externally with partner organizations or institutions. My leadership style consists in enabling and empowering teams to take ownership through co-creation, and reflects inclusiveness, collaboration, integrity, humility, and transparency. My empathy, tenacity and audacity have been well appreciated by my teams in my previous capacities. I am experienced in using adaptive management concepts and tools to manage risks and ambiguity and in enhancing accountability across structures through matrix management and sound performance management systems. I am also knowledgeable of the processes and workflows required to roll out and train on new policies and systems through multiple regions and COs. This significant managerial experience combined with my continuous engagement with donors including at a high level and my natural ability to seek and cultivate strategic alliances for greater impact, represent other strengths that I will confidently bring.

I obtained a MA in Politics of the World Economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (with Honours). Previously I obtained a BA Business Administration in France and Canada at EUROMED.
