I hold a medical degree in general medicine, a master’s degree in international public health and a specialization in nutrition, functional food and health.
I am a specialist in health strengthening, humanitarian preparedness and in public health. I have over 20 years of extensive experience in designing, implementing humanitarian and development health programs including their management by organizing and participating in health team field missions. I am results-oriented and experienced in working in fragile and emergency context in the health sector. This includes strong skills in planning, monitoring and evaluation, epidemiological surveillance and budget management, ability to work with different stakeholders including government, UN and international agencies, civil society organizations, and institutional representation.
I have provided technical support to a variety of health projects/programs (health system strengthening/primarily health care/ maternal neonatal and child / reproductive health, community-based surveillance through GHSA project, Ebola prevention, response and preparedness programs, hemorrhagic fevers control and treatment programs, emergency preparedness, immunization support, HIV PMTCT/pediatric care, family planning and malnutrition.
I have worked for international organizations such as Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), International Rescue Committee (IRC), French Red Cross (CRF) and Alliance for International Medical Action (ALIMA). These assignments have enabled me to work in 15 countries such as Rwanda, Chad, Haiti, Cambodia, Zimbabwe, Guinea, Madagascar, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger and recently in Senegal covering Mali, Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic (CAR) and South Sudan.
