1. Technical Officer
Responsibilities:
- Successfully conducted interviews and undertook secondary research on implications of labour policies for health sector.
- Drafted a policy brief on “Labour Policy” as joint ILO/WHO publication under Social Determinants of Health, Sectoral Briefing Series. The policy brief focuses on health enhancing practices in labour policies.
- Documented good practices utilised by Trade Unions to organise and collectively bargain for Homecare nurses in the United States
- Compiled and maintained and analysed data bases on selected subjects
- Participated in technical missions for research and fact-finding.
- Conducted an assessment of all public health, medical and occupational health publications from 2000 -2011 on occupational exposure to TB and HIV among health workers.
- Contributed to the development a guideline on mainstreaming HIV into Youth employment initiatives
- Provided technical assistance to the ILO-led Inter-Agency Task Team on workplace policies and private sector mobilisation with regards to HIV and AIDS.

- Conducted a systematic review mapping the extent of health insurance coverage for medicines within all UN member States.
