- Leaded distant multidisciplinary research-teams for local projects needing knowledge transfer from urban poles of expertise.
- Obtained research grants for approximately 1.3 M$ as principal investigator.
- Interacted with institutions from different sectors, i.e.: academic (universities), governance (ministries, municipalities, regions), economic development (chambers of commerce, local development centers) and environmental organisms.
- Supervised graduate students in regional development, and several summer undergraduate students.
