Professional Experience: |
I have acquired solid competences and work experience from different developing countries across the globe working in multilateral financial institutions. I am currently working the field of climate finance working as an expert on environmental and social safeguards and gender for the Green Climate Fund. In this role I have conducted appraisal of climate change mitigation and adaptation funding proposals against the requirements of the International Finance Corporation Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability for projects from Latin America, Asia, Africa, Pacific and Caribbean islands and Eastern Europe. In addition, I have strong analytical skills and can synthesise findings into written assessments that articulate identified gaps against standards and recommend improvements. I have also contributed to monitoring environmental and social performance of projects and programmes under implementation with respect to Fund’s environmental and social safeguards and gender standards, and project-specific conditions and covenants.
In my previous role with the Green Climate Fund, I supported the Fund’s accreditation process through institutional-level assessments of implementing entities, including against International Finance Corporation Performance Standards on Environmental and Social Sustainability.
Previously I worked for the African Development Bank on due diligence of development projects on environmental and social issues against the requirements of the Bank’s environmental and social safeguards. In this role I also supported the development of the Bank’s integrated safeguards system.
