Professional Experience:
Finance specialist with experience in the development of new ventures aimed at generating better access to financial services in countries of the Andean region and interested in boosting digital financial services to promote financial inclusion in Latin America and other regions.

General Manager and co-founder of Pagaltoke, a network of branchless-banking agents that provided services to Scotiabank and BBVA Continental in Perú. The network comprises +/- 1200 small convenient stores, neighborhood shops, pharmacies, bazaars, internet cabins and other small businesses that were equipped with POS terminals that allowed them to process financial transactions and utility payments, servicing mainly in peripheral areas of the Lima, Arequipa, Cusco and other smaller cities in Perú. Pagaltoke was acquired by Globokas Perú SA, a close competitor, in 2016.

Former Treasury and Assistant Manager of IFD Sembrar Sartawi, an innovative development finance institution in Bolivia aimed at providing and expanding financial services to the productive sector, especially agriculture and small rural farmers. Played a key role in securing financing from national and foreign sources to fuel portfolio growth during the initial stages of Sembrar Sartawi and responsible for liquidity and treasury management, preparation of financial projections, annual budget and monthly budget control reports.

Experience in social impact investing as Investment Officer of the Social Enterprise Fund of Solydes Foundation (former Prodem Foundation) and responsible of sourcing, screening, due diligence and financial analysis of new investment opportunities in high-growth small and medium enterprises with strong productive linkages with small farmers in Bolivia, seeking both financial and social returns in their investments. In addition, experience in the development of capital markets acquired during assignment as Indepente Member of the Bolivian Stock Exchange.

Extensive knowledge and experience in private sector development and competitiveness acquired as Executive of the Andean Competitiveness Program of CAF- Development Bank of Latin America.

Lived and worked in Bolivia, Colombia, Venezuela, Perú and the United States.

I hold a Masters in Finance from the Catholic University of Bolivia, a Master of Arts in Financial Economics for Public Policy from American University in Washington, DC and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.
