Professional Experience:
I have international gender and development professional with over fifteen years of experience in leadership, management and advisory roles.

Expertise in project cycle management, including project design, proposal development, donor reporting, oversight, monitoring and evaluation.

Experienced in strategic planning, management and developing partnerships with government departments, donors, civil society organisations and communities. Extensive networks with a range of influential stakeholders in government and non-state actors

Deep technical expertise in supporting designs, monitoring and evaluation of policies and programs on Sexual and Reproductive health, gender based violence, HIV and AIDS, family planning and public health. Technical expertise in supporting policy development and implementation on HIV prevention through supporting national ministries of health, national HIV and AIDS Councils and community health programs.

Monitoring and evaluation experience including coordination, data collection, design of indicators, log frame development and providing technical input during assessment and impact evaluations. Prepared background papers, took part in field missions, meetings, provided technical expertise into draft designs and developed monitoring plans.

Experienced in strengthening communities to address HIV prevention, child rights, women rights and gender based violence through training community health volunteers, linking of victims and survivors to support services, training of community volunteers to address domestic violence, promotion of condom use, awareness on family planning, developing behavioural change communication materials and linking young people, people living with HIV and AIDS and people with sexual diversities to health services.

Strong leadership, coordination and management skills. Experienced in result based management processes. Supervised staff, consultants and volunteers, and monitored work performance. Coordinated the preparation of work plans, progress reports and evaluations.

Experienced in local capacity building, policy analysis and formulation and advocacy. Developed training materials, conducted trainings, prepared background papers, guides and tools for addressing gender based violence in communities, support services and at the workplace.

Research experience and synthesing data on a range of topics around gender and sexual violence, HIV/AIDS, and several publications, user guides and articles for mainstream publication. Included developing communication strategies for the effective use of data.

Experience in working in diverse cultural, racial, ethnic and religious settings, hence sensitive aware of the different issues including sexual diversities, people with disabilities and People Living with HIV.
