Advocate of the humanitarian-development-peace nexus, able to inspire new approaches based on evidence to transition humanitarian assistance to government social protection systems, disaster risk reduction and resilience-building programmes.

Combined 15+ years of social protection and resilience research, programming and advisory roles with the soft skills needed to build
strategic partnerships, advance internal and external positioning, and strengthen capacities to improve effectiveness.

Career Highlights
GLOBAL POLICY: Influenced major multilateral and bilateral donors to align their assistance and social protection programmes to prepare for the inclusion of forcibly displaced persons in government systems.
UN-INGOs: Shaped the application of social protection and resilience in UN and INGO platforms addressing contexts of forced displacement, disaster, conflict and food insecurity.
UNHCR: Developed and rolled out a global programme on social protection, achieving a 4-year institutional roadmap and supporting its rollout in 6 regional bureaux and at least 20 countries, whilst leading the research agenda.
WORLD BANK: Technical advice to the design of the World Bank IDA 18 / 19 Refugee Sub-Window projects in Mauritania, Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Burundi to help open up inclusion of refugees in government social safety nets.
OECD: Led the research and wrote the publication and guidelines that enabled the OECD and DAC donors to disseminate and tailor tools for analysing risk and promoting resilience in fragile countries.
ACF: Prepared country strategies and proposals supporting resilient food and nutrition security systems across Africa.
