Professional Experience:
I have been working in the social development sector for the past nine years; I have held key positions in various development organizations and successfully carried out the respective duties and responsibilities.
I recently accomplished another major in International Social Development with merit from the University of East Anglia, the UK.

My pursuit of gaining practical experience in the development process and social dynamics started in 2006 when I joined an NGO, Participatory Development Institute (PDI), as a volunteer.
I worked with the children of the slum area who had never been to school or dropped out before passing primary education. They were brought into mainstream education through Alternate & Innovative learning methodologies. We developed various learning aids suitable for different learners and motivated teachers to use them effectively. This project was able to help 354 out of school children in joining the mainstream of education.
After that, I facilitated a media skills learning project independently, was associated with developing suitable learning aids and motivated the volunteers to encourage the rural children of age group 8-18 years to learn these skills. These media skills were: news writing, feature writing, story writing, cartoon making, radio programs and photography. The outcome of this project was that 350 rural children were organized in 10 Bal panchayats (Children clubs). These children have trained in child rights media skills, and five came out as Master trainers. I also campaigned and advocated for child rights for rural children aged 8-18 years. In this initiative, we did advocacy on quality of education, mid-day meal, child protection & participation, child labour and corporal punishment. Wherein the community members and the parents, these children participated with zeal.

My next endeavour was working in grant management in The Hans Foundation (THF) in North India. I played vital roles in assessing, selecting, managing and implementing all the THF funded programs under the thematic area of education. Overall I was responsible for regular monitoring, periodic reviews and coordination of all programs run by the NGO allies. I ensured partners' proper and timely utilization of funds and program adherence. I assisted senior management towards the overall goals of the THF in the domain of education. So I was also liaisoning with the government's education department and ensuring the timely implementation of education projects. Also, I have considerable fieldwork skills, which I acquired through the direct implementation of the various projects as briefed in my curriculum vitae.

During my tenure in various organizations, I have coordinated, collaborated and networked with NGOs, government organizations, private agencies, consultants, research groups and other concerned stakeholders in the implementation process of the projects while working. I was directly involved in budget reviews, monitoring and evaluation, and preparing various documents and reports in these projects.

I have been a member of the network of nonprofits, including Oxfam International Youth Partnership (OIYP), Oxfam Australia; Vital Voices (VVLead), USA; and Global Exchange In Leadership Initiatives (GELIE), Hong Kong.
