With more than 20 years of International experience in business and scientific communications as well as fundraising for cultural, academic and NGOs I would welcome the chance to help your company express itself clearly, garner affection and grow internationally.
I am the person in the middle of everybody's network. I am human glue. When the Dalai Lama sent me from India to Switzerland in 1990, it was because I have a talent for interacting with different people, different cultures, languages and ideas.
What connects this network to me is my enthusiasm for human enterprise. I love what people do and it shows. For the past five years I have been the Director of Communications and Development for a dynamic, international biomedical research institute. My mandate was threefold, increase institutional funding to keep up with grant funding, to create strong and formal affiliations with the Swiss universities and polytechnic institutes and to protect and monetize the intellectual property portfolio. We grew from 60 to 100 people, from Swiss Francs 7 million to 17 million/ year and created strong strategic partnerships with the two major polytechnic institutes (EPFL and ETH) and formally affiliated with the local university. Our first licensing deal resulted in a successful spinout company that is already sublicensing our technology to big pharma.
Since leaving the institute last March I have founded a cultural association locally that organized a successful exhibit and a season of cultural and academic events for the local community. I managed to prepare, on behalf of the City of Lugano, a winning bid to host an international conference on Impact Investing to be held here in July for the next three years.

Bachelor of Arts at the University of Chicago in English Literature. I also frequented the pre-med courses to prepare for the MCAT. I have been teaching in the Bachelor and Masters programs in Interactive Media and Interaction Design in Southern Switzerland.
