Professional Experience:
International relations and public health professional with over 10 years experience in international organizations on the negotiation, development, implementation, monitoring and evaluating of international projects, including South-South cooperation, training activities, capacity development and research.
Extensive experience in organizing events and international high-level missions and on the development, translation and revision of information materials on various topics of public health, including HIV/AIDS, gender and human rights.
Preparation of background documents, international reports, and briefings related to gender, AIDS, human rights and development in Brazil, other Latin American and Africa countries.
Liaison and coordination of partnerships with different sectors, including government, civil society, private sector and media.
Experience in supervision and operational management of international organization office.
Fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Excellent knowledge of French.
Since May 2012, Working for the UK Mission to the UN as Adviser, Gender, Social and Economic Rights. From October 11- April 2012, worked as Development Adviser at DFID in Brazil. From 2001 to 2011, worked for UNAIDS Country office in Brazil, in several positions. Worked for the Brazilian government: Ministry of Finance and Presidency of the Republic.
Education:
Masters degree on International Relations, focused on Global health, human rights and HIV/AIDS. MBA on Projects (development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation) and bachelor's degree on international relations. Several additional training courses on human rights, gender related issues, HIV/AIDS, health economics, results based management and monitoring and evaluation.
