Professional Experience:
I’m a development professional and NGO activist from Finland, currently working as country representative in Mozambique.
I’m on my best in a position in which I have the possibility to try out new ideas and experiment new methods. With my 12 years of experience, I have a strong foundation of experience that guarantees that any innovation or improvisation is based on well-grounded consideration.
My professional experience includes working in tasks related to program management, organizational development and capacity building.
Monitoring project implementation, following up budgets and writing proposals and reports to donors have been my central working routines for over ten years.
I have worked with various entities including grass-root organizations, international and national NGOs, embassies and UN organizations.
Participation in communication work, including writing to publications and web pages have always been part of my tasks.
Democratic participation, gender equality and equal opportunities for marginalized groups like disabled people are close to my heart, and have been in focus of the programs I have worked for.
I’m familiar with different project management approaches like RBA, LFA, PCM and RBM. I’m familiar with human rights approach, and advocacy work.
I’m used to working in positions with relatively much responsibility.
Financial administration, development of strategic plans and proposal writing are my key competencies, in addition to facilitation, mentoring and grass-root consultation skills.
In addition to work experience, I have extensive volunteer experience varying from advocacy, volunteer mobilization and information work to project planning and financial management.
I have experience in operating with funding from Nordic and German Governments, EU, UN, Global Fund, USAID, and PEPFAR.
I’m used to working in multicultural environments, I’m culturally sensitive and adapt quickly to new environments. As a team member, I assume my responsibilities, and support my colleagues when needed. As a leader, I'm supportive and enjoy giving my team members the possibility to grow.
As a person I’m dynamic, enthusiastic and reliable.
