Professional Experience: |
The bulk of my work, whether as an employee or a consultant, has directly involved the design and implementation of projects/programs that support significant change in a company’s long-term capabilities, objectives, and structure. My clients/employers are usually companies/agencies facing significant new opportunities or challenges brought on by rapidly changing developments in their markets, available technology, or limiting factors within their systems/practices. This work is often multi-disciplined and requires management of coordinated implementations across many or all of a company’s operational and administrative divisions.
Most of my employers/clients have been medium sized firms, thereby affording me the opportunity to lead all aspects of project/program development from feasibility through to completed implementation. As these firms have tended to have wide ranging global operations, I have also developed useful techniques for managing change and support activities across national and cultural borders. I have worked for companies in numerous sectors including manufacturing, finance, marine services, publishing, and information services to name a few. My most recent work has involved Asia-based clients and focused on a) developing financial projections and funding plans, b) introducing new financial reporting and data management practices, and c) advising on clients’ distribution contract negotiations.
I have lived and worked for extended periods in the Far East, Mideast Gulf Region, Europe, North America, and Central America. Thus I welcome work that requires significant travel or relocation.
