Professional Experience:

I am an Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development Advisor with 35 years of combined experience in Canada and in developing countries. My experience in developing countries spans 25 years as I have participated in over 50 development projects, including nineteen as Canada-based Project Director, and 12 as long term/in-country Project Director. Most of my experience has been with multi-year financed projects in Africa and Asia; - 1 year in Niger as an advisor to the Department of Agriculture, - 3 years in Senegal on an agri-business project, - 4 years in Nepal on a sustainable agriculture and environment project, - 4 years in Indonesia on a sustainable agriculture, livelihoods and watershed management project. My work in developing countries is supported by over 10 years of work in Canada for the agricultural sector, whether it be as an agricultural credit analyst with banking and financial institutions, a farm management advisor, or general manager of agribusinesses, or as a consultant to governmental departments of agriculture. Through such extensive experiences I have gained hands on experience in agriculture and natural resources management as well as administrative and human resources management.
