Professional Experience:
She is an experienced DACUM facilitator in Canada and internationally. She has facilitated DACUM workshops in Canada, in Kenya (Kenya Polytechnic), Malawi (Malawi Polytechnic), India, Nepal (Federation of Professional and Business Women of Nepal) and Jordan. She has also delivered workshops as follows: Train the Trainer, Competency Based Education, Instructional Development, Organizational Change Theory, and Principles of Adult Learning. She is an expert in the development and implementation of custom-designed training programs.

She has extensive experience facilitating prior learning assessments and recognition (PLAR) in Canada as well as helping to establish an international credential recognition program.



Prior to her acceptance of the program head position for the Continuing Care Assistant base program in Prince Albert, Dr. Jahn worked in the Program Planning and Development Department for a number of years. She has broad teaching experience, particularly in the health care field. She has been extensively involved with the design, development and delivery of workshops in such areas as health care interest sessions, instructional design for competency-based education, instructional skills, train the trainer, technical writing, development, and the use of assessment tools. She has delivered workshops for various Canadian clients.
Education:
Dr. Jahn completed her PhD (2011) in Education: Curriculum Studies. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education: Curriculum Studies from the University of Saskatchewan. She also has a Certificate and Degree in Vocational/Technical Education (University of Regina), a Baccalaureate in Nursing (University of Calgary), a Certificate in Departmental Management from the Canadian Hospital Association and a diploma in nursing from the Calgary General Hospital School of Nursing.

She has completed research methodologies, counseling and women's studies courses from other institutions.
