My background is in Professional Nursing from Diakonessen Hospital in Suriname. I attended Pace University in New York City where I earned a certificate in Psychiatric Nursing. I also hold a B.Sc degree in Public Health where I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the City University of New York, York College. American Institute of Med Law: Medical Law + Health Risk Management. Summer 2011, I completed a Master Card Foundation fellowship at the University of New Hampshire, The Carsey Institute and was credentialed in Sustainable Micro-Enterprise Finance for Poverty Eradication. In Spring of 2011 I was recognized for my passion in human rights and currently attending the University of Nottingham International Human Rights Law Centre.
