Professional Experience:
Zaw Ye Naung works with rural villages in Shan State, Kayin State, Yangon and the Mandalay region of Myanmar to grow certified organic agriculture for vegetable, animal feed and free-range chicken farming. He and his owned company guarantee the finance, farming techniques and market to the farmers. He named his concept “The Family Farm” and the initiative already has thousands of rural families working together with him in 2021.

His ideology is building inclusive business in rural areas of Myanmar to help empower and lift local communities through the development of a micro business ecosystem. He believes that through this inclusive business model, social and economic challenges to rural communities can be positively impacted through the development of a micro business ecosystem which will see each and every village producing their own agriculture and livestock products.

His ‘Family Farm' concept directly addresses the gender gap issues within rural areas where we see a vital need for women and youth to get equal opportunities alongside male farmers. It also addresses the issues of families cohesion in rural areas where we see many families break up in order for the male adult to work abroad. This leaves the remaining family members vulnerable, so ‘Family Farm’ aims to provide a sustainable solution for rural families to stay together.
