Professional Experience:
I am a hardworking and passionate environment professional from Burkina Faso, with 3 years of international working experience, and fluent in English and French. I seek to continue contributing to sustainability issues including renewable energy, nature and business, circular economy, and gender and development. In previous formal and volunteering roles, I contributed to publishing reports, organised virtual and onsite meetings, created capacity-building material and managed projects. I am strongly dedicated to continuously learn and apply solutions for a nature and people-friendly world.

In my current role, I work with three busy managers and many external partners, therefore I have experience collaborating with different tools including Microsoft Teams, Zoom Webinar and Meetings, and GoToWebinar. I am proactive in setting up needed elements in advance, so that my managers can use them when they are ready. I have planned and organised several webinars, events and multi-stakeholder meetings which necessitated created PowerPoint slides, setting agendas, corresponding with participants and speakers, and promoting events. As a former project assistant for an NGO, I have consistently recorded, organised and made pertinent information readily available to internal colleagues and partners, and followed up on actions until fruition. My ability to concoct backup plans and prepare necessary components in advance would ensure adaptability and resilience in any situation.

In my current role, I have gained communication skills in order to disseminate knowledge and promote work. This has included: writing summary articles of events and webinars including key messages, and preparing social media packs that included the drafting of more than 50 social media posts across platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter, and identifying partners that could help promote the work further.

I can multi-task vey well as proven by my effective work on three projects, while being creative or replicating processes when needed. Collaborating with many partners including scientists, conservation organisations and businesses, and following up on assigned tasks was needed; In addition, I have learned the importance of leveraging existing networks to disseminate knowledge further. These experiences have developed interpersonal skills.

I also understand it is crucial for decision-makers to be aware of current events in order to take advantage of opportunities, therefore, I have experience in updating managers on the current states of specific topics. Throughout my academic, professional and volunteer experiences I have enjoyed researching on various topics from the impacts of mining on the environment, the risks and opportunities of engaging with specific companies, and the existing policies and networks in a particular landscape for a project, among others.

I have experience in performing administrative tasks such as corresponding with various parties, coordinating and planning meetings and events, writing and circulating meeting minutes, room booking and more. I am a polite, patient and empathetic individual who always manages to ensure that colleagues have everything they need to work effectively. In my current role, I am learning to establish contracts and present budgets in a clear way so that they can be communicated throughout the team, and I look forward to perfecting this skill.
