March 2012-current: The Blended Capital (UK) Co., Ltd, London:
• Established The Blended Capital Group (TBCG) as a start up in March 2012 after leaving the United Nations.
• Over eight years I have built TBCG’s private equity portfolio of sustainability aligned companies and advisory business now managed with a team of five people. The focus of TBCG’s portfolio is work to support companies and civil society organisations delivering impact at scale supporting nutrition, health, education and wealth outcomes to last mile agricultural communities.

As a United Nations official (2000-2012) I was responsible for the team which conceived and rolled out a global investor initiative launched in April 2006 for former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan. The Principles for Responsible Investment (www.unpri.org) is now backed in January 2021 by more than 3200 institutions representing U$100 trillion in assets under management and supported by a London team of more than 120.
In the UN conceived and delivered major global events for the financial services, insurance and investment community and both managed and authored 160 publications between 2000-2012.
Convened an annual investor-policy-maker sustainability dinner at World Economic Forum from 2007-2020 (on-going). From 2018-20 the dinner was focused on food security and nutrition in the Sahel.
Pro-bono roles for change-making organisations:
May 2016 – current: Chair, SOS SAHEL International Advisory Council - a multinational group advising the largest and oldest French NGO working across 11 Sahelian Countries since 1977. SOS SAHEL is focused on food security, nutrition, and climate resilient farming for last mile out-grower communities. Special personal focus the mobilisation of finance at scale through novel investment/Fintech approaches and innovative social enterprise structures to empower agricultural out-grower communities in Africa.
December 2019 – current: Chair, Board of Trustees for Future-Fit Foundation - a UK Charity working to develop and advance enhanced approaches for sustainability-aligned change and risk management with business organisations seeking to profit from the move to sustainability by becoming fit for purpose for the 21st Century.
First class communications skills building on six years as a journalist and extending to public speaking, speech writing for senior politicians, and complex cross-cultural moderation for a range of UN agencies, including, amongst others, the Executive Office of the UN Secretary General (EOSG), UNFCCC, UNDP, UNISDR, and UNHCR.
In 2017 and 2018 moderated day-long events for UN EOSG at the UN High Level Political Forum (HLPF), an annual review convened at UNHQ, NYC, to assess progress across the SDGs.
