Professional Experience:

As an independent international health expert I have performed numerous consultancies for organisations such as WHO, GFATM and UNAIDS. To this end I frequently collaborate with other consultancy organisations in the Netherlands (KIT, ETC Crystal). I also have a strong links to academic institutions, both in the Netherlands and the UK.

Over the last 5 years I have worked extensively on the interface between health systems and priority health programmes (e.g. HIV, TB) to see how such programmes can be leveraged to achieve strengthening of health systems. I have a particular interest in the role of Global Health Initiatives.

Most of my projects to date have focused on Sub-Saharan Africa, but I have also performed programme assessments in Egypt and Russia. I am fluent in English and conversational in French.

Whilst I am a strong independent worker, I particularly enjoy working as part of a team with consultants from diverse backgrounds.
