Development Economist
• Managed complete lifecycle of poverty alleviation sector activities in my portfolio pertaining to Sub-Saharan Africa (Chad, Sudan and Senegal) including identification, preparation and risks assessment.
• Participated in the preparation for the Country Partnership Strategy for Pakistan& Albania and explored the opportunities for the Bank’s intervention in poverty-alleviation related areas through visits to numerous cities in Pakistan and engaging with the Government officials, NGOs and multinational organizations.
• Participated at the project evaluation process of IDB-financed obstetic fistula project in the Gambia (USD$1 million) and community driven development project in Indonesia (USD$15m) through field visits, engagement with the stakeholders and writing reports including economic and social analysis
• Prepared the South-South Cooperation Strategy Paper for the Bank and suggested ways for enhancing the cooperation among the Member Countries of the Bank.
• Initiated the Skill Development for Youth Employment Programme in the Bank with an emphasis on the Central Asian Region
• Involved actively in the transfer of knowledge of poverty alleviation and capacity building related topics to other employees within IDB Group and externally to Member countries, NGOs, communities and partners.
