Overall responsibility for the implementation, management, monitoring, budgeting, reporting, operational and financial annual planning of SolidarMed’s housing project in Zambia;
Represented the housing project at local, district, provincial, national, and international levels;
Constructed 48 new houses and rehabilitated 24 existing houses for health staff at 8 rural health facilities across 3 districts, as well as a 30kWp solar mini-grid and 13 solar water systems;
Developed a vocational training program, which certified 42 youth as skilled builders;
Formed maintenance teams at all sites, providing employment to 12 local tradespeople;
Running a sustainable, self-administered, and self-financing social enterprise (SolidarInvest Ltd.) that manages and maintains all staff housing;
Developed institutional governance through the creation of a board directors, organizing annual general meetings and board meetings, and developing the social enterprise’s constitution;
Additional infrastructure projects included construction of a student lecture hall, 3 student hostels and multi-purpose halls, a mobile training centre, and a large-scale solar water system;
