Professional Experience:
Outstanding strategy consulting / advisory skills:
I started my career as a Business Analyst with a global management consulting firm in London, where I learned the fundamentals of strategy consulting in the private sector. Equipped with these skills I entered the non-profit sector and dedicated my career to the analysis and implementation of governance processes at the policy level in the government-, inter-governmental and corporate sectors.

Track record of achieving results in challenging and uncertain situations:
Guided by the Head of the Governance and Gender unit, I supervised and managed the day-to-day management of the UNDP Pakistan governance project portfolio including a major capacity-building project for the Election Commission of Pakistan and a project supporting the implementation of the Government of Pakistan's devolution plan in the Provincial Governments of Balochistan and the North-Western Frontier Province.
The project for the Election Commission of Pakistan was politically sensitive and logistically complex as the Commission was in the process of preparing for the first local government elections ever held in Pakistan. Upon my arrival, the project had suffered a number of set-backs and was practically in a deadlock. With the support of the head of unit we managed to get the project kick started again and succeeded in implementing all the major systems and processes just in time for the elections which turned out to be a milestone and turning point for Pakistan.

Ability to operate at the highest levels of government:
During my most recent employment with the World Economic Forum I served as a Global Leadership Fellow with the Africa team, and then as an Associate Director with the Global Risks team. Besides strengthening my analytical skills, my experience working with the Forum has exposed me to the top leadership of a large number of corporations, governments, and research institutions with the aim of analyzing and supporting strategies towards the core mission objectives of the Forum which consist of engaging the world’s foremost multinationals in shaping the global, regional and industry agendas.

Public policy expertise:
My posting with the UN Economic Commission for Africa oriented me towards the analysis of country data on various aspects of governance, including accountability, transparency of institutions and the rule of law. The analysis of this data culminated in the first African Governance Report published by the UN in 2005, and provided me with a deep insight into the theoretical and practical aspects of all critical governance aspects at the country-level.
Education:
I am a Fellow with the World Economic Forum after having completed the Fellowship Program in Global Leadership in 2009. I hold a Masters Degree in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and a Bachelors Degree in Human Sciences from the University of Oxford. Areas of particular interest and focus during my university studies included international institutions, which were the object of my Master’s thesis, international relations and sociological aspects of development.
