SAP Consultancy: 12 years experience in SAP Consultancy.
One of my SAP implementations (Zimbabwe Revenue Authority -ZIMRA) is argued to be the largest implementation in Africa to date. Roles included team and project management, change management, preparation of blue prints, carrying out SAP fit exercise, carrying out configurations in the development, testing in QAS and monitoring actual progress and postings in production. Setting up company codes, chart of accounts, currency, field status groups, document types, number ranges, account groups, financial periods, master data for general ledger, vendors, customers, banks, assets, etc. Responsibilities also included configurations of cost centre, internal order, profit centre and funds centre accounting. Configuring and assigning payment methods, automatic postings linked to materials management, fleet management, sales and distribution, human resource management and asset accounting. Managing the data migration processes. Setting up profile authorisations for the FI Users and training the users on FI module. Supporting FI, CO, MM and fleet management (in Plant Maintenance) modules. I also spearheaded the currency conversion project in ZIMRA after the major devaluation of the Zimbabwean currency.
My SAP knowledge coupled with my experience in business management, auditing, accounting and interpersonal skills make me one of the few accountants who have the best of both worlds (business and consultancy).
Pastel accounting: Designed and configured the chart of accounts, general ledger master data, accounting periods and the required reports. Implemented the system and trained other users. Offered user support for the package. Certified in both the accounting system and the report writer.
Auditing: 14 years auditing experience covering statutory, forensic and internal audits.
