Professional Experience: |
Overall, my career consists of experiences at a diverse mix of organizations, including an international initiative on climate and disaster resilience (CDRI), apex disaster management authority (NDMA India), a world-class academic institute (IIT Delhi), a large public sector company (NBCC), and a technology conglomerate (L&T). Across these organizations, I have designed, conducted, managed, and delivered both management and academic research. These organizations also cover development sector, construction industry, private sector and academia. Along with L&T sponsored M Tech and PhD in Project management from IIT Delhi, I have field experiences of executing and managing construction projects including subcontracting, budgeting, resource scheduling, etc. Such relevant experiences make me a highly competent professional with a refined disposition.
Through my academic research and consulting jobs, I have undertaken complex socio-techno-management research, which helped me learn deep qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods research skills. I have successfully used case studies, content analysis, scenario analysis, surveys, and longitudinal analysis leading to top-quality journals and industry reports. For instance, in M Tech I developed a prototype to integrate skill-level of workers in project scheduling software; in PhD I developed a Project risk management system for a large public sector corporation; and at NDMA/CDRI I am leading programmes for the global community. These diverse projects have trained me in solving complex engineering, organizational, and social problems and managing multiple stakeholders at international level.
Since 2019, I have had a rare opportunity to become the first staff for set up an international initiative CDRI. In this role, I manage many aspects of designing and commissioning institutional systems, global programmes such as CDRI Fellowship, Innovation Conclave, Case studies, and networks of researchers. This rare exposure has helped me build a vast network of international delegates for intellectual engagement.
I have worked with top bureaucrats, board members of larger corporations, esteemed academicians, and international delegates on range of matters including strategic planning, operations business process engineering, procurement, and project delivery. I have routinely participated in international dialogues and bilateral meetings.
