I am a retired Rear Admiral of Bangladesh Navy. I retired on 30 Dec 2019 from my last appointment of Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Ops)of Bangladesh Navy.In my long naval career of 38 year 5 months I have held various appointments mainly in Command and Administrative level. I have developed very good experience and skill of preparing human resources and their proper employments.

Professional Experience:
1. As Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Ops) I headed the Operation Branch comprising of 13 Directorates for about 4 years. In addition, I was also the Regional Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts and Chairman of National Hydrographic Committee. I handled the procurement of Submarine, Frigates, corvettes, Large Patrol craft, Patrol Craft and Maritime Patrol Aircraft. I also planned, designed and supervised the development of infrastructures of Bangladesh Navy. I planned and executed all types of operational exercises of Navy fleet. As Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Personnel) I have recruited and trained the human resources of Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Coast Guard. As Chief of Bangladesh Coast Guard I dealt with all operational and Administrative matters very successfully and brought remarkable and unprecedented development of Coast Guard. As Principal of Marine Fisheries Academy I could bring a miraculous change in the Academy and developed successfully the human resources for both Fishery and Merchant Fleets. As Drafting Commander I handled the whole manpower of Navy and employed them successfully including their retirement formalities. I my long career of 38 year 5 months I have developed a very good skill in preparing and employing of big bunch of human resources as all through I had been occupying the positions of Leader or Administrator of the Organisation.
I completed my Secondary school in 1976 from a High School of Mirzapur and Higher Secondary School in 1978 from a very famous college named Dhaka College. In Jan 1979 I joined Bangladesh Navy thereafter I went to Marshal Tito Naval Academy in Split, Croatia (Former Yugoslavia)for a five years course. From that Academy I got my Bachelor degree. In 1989-1990 I did my Specialization on Anti-Submarine ware from INS Vendruthy, Cochin, India. In 1993-95 I did my Command and Staff Course and I completed my Masters in Defence Studies from National University of Bangladesh. In 1996 I did a special training on Deputy President's Human Resource Selection Procedure. In 2008, I did one training on Comprehensive Crisis Management from the Asia Pacific Centre for security Studies(APCSS) in Hawaii, USA. In 2011-12 I did one year long Security Strategy course from National defence University of China. In 2013 I did another training on Security Studies of Asia Pacific from National Defence University in Washington DC.
Affiliations and Achievements:
I performed the duties of Regional Commissioner of Bangladesh Scouts and I was awarded the second largest award of Bangladesh Scouts named Roppo Ilish by the Honourable President of Bangladesh. For my outstanding performance in the Navy and in Coast Guard I was awarded with following medals by the Government of Bangladesh:
a. Naubahini Podak (Navy Medal)
b. Oshamanno Sheba Podak (Extraordinary Service medal)
c. Bangladesh Coast Guard Medal Sheba.
For my remarkable performance in certain sector I was given a letter of appreciation by the Chief of the Naval Staff.
