Demonstrated experience in working with Regional Economic Communities (REC) e.g. African Union Commission (AUC), IGAD and Indian Ocean Commission (IOC) with roles of institutional building and programme management aiming at regional integration.

Established experience in technical assistance in the areas of soil and water conservation, watershed management, forestry, value chain and water development.
Experience in policy advice in Food Security, Disaster risk Management and Social protection to Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and regional and national governments.
In food security, exposure to drought management, early warning system and contingency planning at regional and national level.
In Social Protection, expertise in social protection strategies and national program design i.e. public labour - cash or food for work - as well as school feeding programs with a focus on Home Grown School Feeding.
Experience in remote sensing and Earth Observation with services development for environmental monitoring with focus on agriculture and marine services in Africa.
Exposure to climate change policies and strategies both long term and short term with a perspective on Disaster Risk Reduction notably in drought and floods.
Experience in agriculture economics appraisal and research in the areas of farming system, cost-benefit analysis, economic modelling and business plans.
Exposure to EDF administrative and procurement procedures and management of EDF programs with experience in design and implementation of Program Estimates.
